Santorini

Santorini is considered by many of what remains of Lost Atlantis, due to the volcanic eruption that caused a large part of the original island to sink.

Without any doubt, Santorini is the most photographed island of Greece.

The island is like a fairy tale setting with sheer cliffs rising from the deep blue waters and on top, as icing on the cake, is Thira and Oia, shinning brilliant white in the sunshine.

Santorini is actually the skeleton remains of a group of islands left after the eruption of the volcano. This circle shaped group of islands consists of Thíra, Thirassiá, Asproníssi, Palea and Nea Kaméni in the southernmost part of Cyclades,

On the island you will visit Caldera which has been characterized as an area of outstanding natural beauty, also Firá, the picturesque capital of the island. Firá, together with Oia, Imerovígli and Firostefáni located high above on a cliff, make up the so-called “Caldera’s Eye”.

Treat yourself with some famous traditional products like cherry tomatoes, white eggplants, fava, caper and a special kind of fresh goat cheese found on the island, or why not try some of the exceptional wines produced from grapes grown in the volcanic soil of the island! Definitely something unforgettable.
